I second the request for a hand drum, at the least. I don't know the name of it, but I think there is a drum that has back-to-back dual drum heads, they are on a hand-held stick, and have a tether with a ball of some sort (wood seems heavy, it might be compacted leather?) at the end of it. You twist the stick, the tether swings back and forth hitting the drum heads.

If drums are added, I hope as percussion they get a bit more than current percussin flavor. Drums can have melody, especially a bongo styled drum depending on what it's struck by and how. Anyway...
