Just another observation on companion 'searching'
As you all know there is the Tell command, and there is scout. Which tells what is nearby only.
However.
By standing still.
Telling companion to Sleep.
Waiting until it sleeps.
Then telling it to stand.
The companion will, as it stands go into a search routine. Detecting Players "ONLY" whether hidden or invisible.
The companion will continue to 'detect hidden or invisible 'players' even if you and the companion move rooms.
It appears to stop the search function, once it goes into a different mode, if you are attacked, or it is told to do something like stand, sleep, scout etc.
I would hope, we could have this function added as a 'Tell companion to search' in the future. Having it sleep and then stand is a long wait for the companion to get to it sometimes.
I would also like this to be added to the companions, to detect 'Monsters' that hide. Such as bandits.
I would think when bandits, or something attacks from hiding with a bow, or talks from hiding. The companion 'could' go into search mode automatically to find them.

A mountain wolf saunters in.
Wolfstarr says, "Ok."
You quietly say, "Ok...."
You quietly say, "Tell her to sleep."
Wolfstarr nods.
You nod.
A mountain wolf stretches out and rolls over on her side sound asleep.
Roundtime: 3 sec.
You attempt to blend with the surroundings, and feel confident that no one has noticed your doing so.
You quietly say, "Now tell her to stand."
A mountain wolf starts and her eyes blink open as she awakens.
You quietly say, "And wait...."
You quietly say, "She might not see me, but she should search when she stands."
A mountain wolf scrambles back up onto her feet.
A mountain wolf searches around nervously.
You quietly say, "Wait a moment, not a quick process."
You quietly say, "There she goes."
Wolfstarr says, "Ok, she did."
You quietly say, "Ok, go east."

[Gyldemar Road]
The poorly kept road emerges onto a swampy plain to the northeast and delves into the forest to the west. Cattails attempt to push the wooded area back, while oaks and maples lead the assault in the other direction. The constant droning of unseen insects emanates from the swamp. Here, at the forest's edge, the sun shines down brightly to warm the surrounding area, although the warmth raises the humidity, and a rather foul odor drifts in from the moist areas.
Obvious paths: northeast, west
Your dusky curhound followed.
Roundtime: 2 sec.
You notice Wolfstarr moving stealthily into the area.
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
Wolfstarr's look of renewed cognition fades.
You quietly say, "Lets see if she continues to look."
A mountain wolf searches around nervously.
A mountain wolf discovers you in your hiding place!
You quietly say, "There she goes, good girl."
You wink.
Wolfstarr nods.
A grizzled dusky curhound snorts the ground hungrily.
You quietly say, "Once more."
You quietly say, "Ne."
[Gyldemar Road]
The road is barely a raised area of drier mud above a flat area of oozing mud and monotonous swamp grass. Here and there part of a cobblestone protrudes up through the mud, often at an angle completely different from that which the builders intended. The buzzing of the swamp insects seems to swell and abate in unison but without any discernible regularity, as though the insects know the tune though it follows no known meter.
Obvious paths: east, southwest

You attempt to blend with the surroundings, and feel confident that no one has noticed your doing so.
You hear very soft footsteps.
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
A grizzled dusky curhound snorts the ground hungrily.
A mountain wolf searches around nervously.
You quietly say, "So, perfect, now she will continue to search for 'players."
