The dwarves seem to have installed some one way doors in The Northern Fortress. Do NOT go east or west from the main rooms. It has been reported and hopefully the dwarves will fix them quickly.

If you get stuck, I can tell you Symbol of Return works, I have no idea about other traveling methods, proceed at your own risk.
