Hark, all you who take up arms!

Armsmasters across Elanthia have long been comparing the combat methods of various peoples and traditions and, finding much common ground, have finally codified numerous techniques to teach through the guilds and their affiliates.

A Giantman warrior described to us her training: "I learned to reap my enemies with the force of an arctic blast at the knee of my venerable uncle, and he learned this technique from his father, who had it from his mother before him." She showed us her old claidhmore at this, hefting it with pride.

Another correspondent spoke with a Shakat caravan guard, who wore a great crimson flamberge strapped to his back. "My family taught me to wield my blade, to whirl and strike like the sandstorm," he said simply. "We brought our traditions with us out of the Sea of Fire."

A student at the Warrior Guild in River's Rest was effusive about the new training regimen: "The masters call it the 'Whirlwind' technique, you see. It's not new, but they're teaching it here now, and oh, I have so much more to learn!"

Whether you reach for sword, bow, or hammer, or raise your bare fists, know that the armsmasters of Elanthia, Guild-backed or not, are here to teach you, and to learn from you, to the betterment of us all!

PSM: Phase 3 is being released to the Platinum instance for further testing, and will be arriving on all instances when we are confident it is ready. It appears that sweep within the guild is broken. I have a masters task:

I'm presuming 1 and 2 have to be deployed together?

Is there going to be a way other than "spell active" to see "all this miscellaneous stuff affecting me"? Maybe, specifically, "everything that is NOT a buff spell/Society effect"?
Which typically runs to 20+ lines, and takes of mental effort to "ignore all of this and all of that", and then just read the top few lines and the bottom few lines.
And then there's the screen scroll, while in the middle of combat.

Something of "just a few lines", long the same mode as "resource", would be great. Maybe "condition"?

And I will also repeat my request for something in the same vein as "spell active", for "anything physical" (that uses stamina or physical--CMan, Shield, Armor--points).
So that I can see ONLY my armor adjustment, Surge of Strength duration & Coup cooldown, whatever Martial Stance I have chosen, and the sixteen different statuses that are currently affecting me after getting bashed on. <mutter>

I mean by command issued in the game, since the Wizard FE has, uhhh, none of those three. (That I have seen.)
Mind you, it's been a while since I monkeyed with my Window layout.
But I think that it has been even longer since the Wizard got updated for things like "new windows".
Or "new spell lists". (Paladin, Monk.)
Or "updated spell lists". (Cleric, Ranger.)
Or "to include Stamina at all".
Or suchlike.

Just sayin'.

Honestly, there could have been more notice before the rollout was implemented. I didn't know we'd get another fixskill, for instance, so I basically missed an opportunity to possibly change things I might have wanted to change before all this new stuff was put into play. Just a thought for next time.

We sort of had notice, in the fact that it was announced that Platinum was PSM3'd a week-ish ago, which should have given us a clue that we should have used any fixskills we wanted to before it came to Prime/Shattered/etc.

I'm also pretty sure at least one NiR said that we would be getting a fixskill after PSM3 went live.

(I, selfishly, wouldn't mind another fixskill being given out, since some of us were caught with our pants in non-optimal positions when PSM3 was rolled out this morning. heh)

Now that PSM3 is live in Prime, I've come across an odd circumstance regarding my Mechanical Cartridge Vambraces. I currently have a locked set of katar vambraces (locked for two-weapon combat and locked for parrying attacks while unarmed.) While my vambraces still function as a katar for attack / kill, ambush, and waylay; they don't have access to any of the new weapon skills (e.g. cripple, flurry, whirling blade, clash, or fury.) I was wondering if this was a planned / intended characteristic of the script. Furthermore, if I were to purchase the certificate to unlock the parrying while unarmed feature, would I be able to use WEAPON RIPOSTE?

I'll post here as well in the folder where the announcement went to:

Can you please allow all these new windows (buffs, debuffs, and cooldowns) to show in the "Active Spells" window in stormfront by default, as they had been? Many of us don't want 3 more windows open. My stormfront windows set up is pretty complicated already and I use it across all my characters.

In addition, the bard songs are now showing the for the whole 4 hour band when they renew, even though they are only 10 minutes (for me). Can you please change that back to represent the actual time compared to the other spells active?

By the way, the spell times were not refreshing correctly for me with out constantly using "spell active".

Other details:
- Other warrior trainings work - Tricks gave me reps and ranks.
- Trading out tasks has no effect - no reps offered either way.

Garrote is a lot of fun on my level 14 rogue, but I'm not able to find information on different types of garrotes and if there is any point in enchanting, ensorcelling, adding crit weighting, or having a flaring garrote. Any information you can provide on garrotes Naijin?

Any idea why unarmedspec isn't working for clerics? Here's the info via CMAN:

The wiki shows the same info. I was bare-handed and none of them worked for me. Does it require training in brawling to get access to the cheapshots? Because from what I can tell, everything I type results in this: "You don't know anything about Templeshot/Kneebash/Throatchop/Disarm/Feint/Subdue."

Inquiring minds would like to know.

I don't know for sure, but I'd venture to guess you would need to train in the specific CMAN (i.e. feint) to do that technique.

If you can't train in a CMAN, we'll say kneebash, as a cleric, you won't be able to use knebash just because you train in unarmed specialist.

unarmed spec just allows you do them unarmed, it doesn't give you skill to do them otherwise.
