Discussions from GM Panel at Simucon on Roleplaying / Events / Storylines 08/11/2018 05:50 PM CDT
Discussion at Simucon with Galene, Lydil, Kaikala, Valyrka, Quilic, with Kveta as moderator. Thanks to all for sharing their insights.

Do more of this!:
- Involve others and bring people into the event / storyline. This was heavily hit upon in the discussion and would be hugely helpful for those people who are really involved.
- Be willing to be flexible in the storylines, and don't just try to be the center of attention. You may not be the center today, but you may be tomorrow.

General concepts:
- Don't email them
- Don't discord them
- Compliments are appreciated
- Don't come and just wait for an RPA (and don't whisper OOC)
- Don't try to be an attention grabber. If you're not acknowledged the first time, that's OK. You may get noticed later.

A lot of work goes into storylines. Some GMs are really into scripting everything out. Some don't. Please try to participate in the events. They REALLY like participation.

Calendaring is appreciated by senior GMs and others - and helpful to get people involved into events when possible.

To sum:
If you're doing it for an RPA, you're doing it wrong!
