Verbs to aid in giving a speech 04/13/2013 05:13 PM CDT
Hello all, I have a speech to give tonight, IG and IC. I need some help with verbs that one would use when delivering a talk.

Some that I know which would work well are things like PACE, COUGH (to represent clearing throat) and that's about it.

Anyone know of some other good ones that I might want to slip in?

gelston; thanks for the age list

>COUGH (to represent clearing throat)

If you SCREAM at yourself, you will actually clear your throat. There's also the breathe options, maybe breathe or breathe out might be options for you. If you haven't already, you might want to consider some of the speech verbs, like lecture, continue, instruct, drone...

Good luck on your speech!

Good luck. http://www.sylvanfair.com/Verb_Scripts/Table/search_verbs.htm is an excellent resource just to browse..to see what is available. Oftentimes a fun verb is available to a specific race/class/citizen and you wouldn't know it without seeing it in game or reading it here.

By and by, be sure that you type your full name or most of it when you do the SCREAM <self>, or you'll look like you're at the start of a bad trip.

A really nice, though slightly out of date website for verbs I am -constantly- referencing is the old Sylvanfair website.

Just in case you'd like to peruse the different options for things that don't have an updated usage in game. =)
