Reports of strange happenings within Moonstone Abbey... 06/10/2011 05:12 PM CDT
Quiet words among staff at Moonstone Abbey have been increasing this week as hushed reports of strange dreams and visions have increased this last week. In particular, phrases and words that keep emerging in excited whispers travel between them all, and overheard have been: coins, three strangers, and ancient design.

None quite know what to make of this yet, but the feeling of being watched has become more present as of late in the corridors and rooms of the Abbey. Hopefully more will become clear soon.

One thing is for certain, and that is that something interesting in the cauldron is brewing...

(OOC Please watch the MOONSTONE ABBEY folder for more details to come soon.)

On tha route ta Illstim
walkin along ta road
I spied a coin buried within
the open't maw of a toad

Reach in did I, ta git dat coin
for I was sure it wasn't his
I snatched it quick afore his lips rejoin't
and with his toady grin, he says:

"Hi-ho dwarf of Moonstone Abbey-
It's 'bout time ya have arrive't!
I've waited here beside dis tree
I began ta wunder "Were ya alive?!

Take tha' coin ya drew from me
Presen' it up'n a table
in two days time, an' then a week
Ya will see who's luck is able!

The crone'll want ta see yer acceptance of strangers
so in that do not delay!
Another coin dats juss ta same, duplicate creations
they'll be useful in some way!"

Ta toad hopped off an leff me dere
starin at ta road
I resumed ta path I had before
da token in my bag I did stow

Diplmocy always ta be our aim
An' harm ta come ta none
Knowledge an wisdom, not much fer fame
Ta crone's wishes, by ta toad, shall be done.

Strange mists eminate from the cauldron in the dark cellar workshop. A cloaked figure huddles near as she peers through the wafts of red haze into the vessel. In between two long fingers she holds a small coin up before her. You can see the image of a crescent moon glint in the light. Her pupils shrink to mere pinpoints as she begins to cackle and sing an odd little tune...

I am nothing 'til you name me,
And I do not come for free.
Once scribed for thee, I'm in the dark,
Til by chance a lucky hand snatches me!

Once drawn you mustn't wander!
Soon a coin will you posses.
Only thee who gave my name,
Will be the one who's to collect.

To the woods are you to be escorted,
And there is where you wait.
Two of you, from two of us,
Two coins of same make.

An hours time to make the ready,
Be ye prepared! Her hand is steady.

Other than your coin in hand, no metal will she take,
No fingertips upon your skin, no different You can she make.

Give me your name, be not unpersueded!
Merely silvers in the barrel.
What could you win, My Lord or Lady?
Find out then within the Abbey!

I am on the Dais, but WHAT am I?

Within quiet meditations, the knowledge of the Ancients comes upon those sisters of the Coven and Abbey who listen, the soft sounds of cascasding water of the fountain revealing mysteries...

... invoke the wholeness in each other, as for as much as we are all individual we are also one ...

"We are gifts to be given and received"

... and in that spirit the Crone continues on her journey, she should arrive in time. The Light dominates the lands in warmth and bounty, but soon it will begin its waning. She should arrive on schedule, the longest day of the year. Summer Solstice is nigh, and the harvest not far behind with the turning of the great wheel.

Blessed Be

The mysterious woman pokes at the brush with her walking stick as she traverses eastward, the waning moons illuminating her path. The hood of her cloak concealing her features and protecting her from the nightair's chill, she draws a steady hand to attend to it's folds, arranging them about her face.

She lowers her hand to brush her fingers against her pouch checking it's contents. All seems to be correct as her fingertips probe with experienced deftness within the opening; Her needles within balls of finely spun threads and her shears carefully tucked within protective folds of fabric were at the ready.

She knows the visions will end soon, as they always do on these jounrneys of hers. Then she can rest, at least for now. Her payment still to be made, she presses forward through the brush chanting an inspiring tune whose beat matches her steps. The coins would be with her soon, and she would be grateful and relieved.

The Sisters knew of her coming, she could see as much in her visions. The toad having done it's work as well, the forest's breezes and the whispers in the winds had told her as much.

The benefit being two-fold, she smiles as she gazes to the constellations in the skies thinking on her mission. Her stellar compass being true she consideres briefly her besom hidden in her sacks. It would help to ensure her arrival, she thought to herself. And the hour was quite late, who would see her in this pitch? She pauses in quiet contemplation, fear of discovery fighting the desire of feeling free...

Her cloaks flap about her wildly with the wind. A smile crosses her lips as she continued east... east to Moonstone Abbey.
