Thank you to everyone who attended and those who contacted me with apologies and expressed a desire to participate. I was asked to post a summary of the meeting with relevant links.

This year's Fashion Week is scheduled for Saturday 12th August to Sunday 20th August. There will be a slight overlap with the end of Frontier Days but unfortunately this couldn't be avoided as it was the only week free in July/August. With this in mind, we will be holding the launch event - the Champagne Reception - in Wehnimer's Landing this year (instead of Ta'Illistim).

The Nalea Brawl won't be returning this year. Instead there will be fighting of a different kind in Fashion Wars! Prepare to do siegery battle with the fashionable elite (representatives for Veola and Estefan will be in the vanguard but it is rumoured that Oirisu, Airisu, and Farain will be bringing up the rear)

I am hoping other CHEs/MHOs will want to get involved and host their own events during the week again. The response last year was phenomenal! I've made a start on updating the Elanthian Elegance website[link below] and GS Wiki page [link below] and will add in more information and events as we go along. If you're interested in taking part, please could you complete a simple entry form [click on link below] for me, so that I can avoid clashes, add you to a mailing list, and ensure your event gets all the additional support and publicity it needs.

The highlight of the week will of course be the Fashion Showcase again where everyone gets a chance to walk the runway and show off their outfits. With that said, the Themes for this year are (I've added a little extra information to give you a steer in the right direction - feel free to ignore it and add your own interpretation):

Shabby Chic
* Dressing in shabby chic means wearing the perfect combination of new and antique pieces of clothing and jewelry.
* The antithesis of latest trends, shabby chic clothing is usually pastel in color, such as dusky rose, lavender, white, gray, butter and pale blue. It also tends to be loose fitting on the body.
* Consider vintage-inspired, layered clothing that evokes a subtle feminine feel. Razor-frayed hemlines on gowns and shifts, for example, worn with layered or knotted pearl necklaces.
* Pair light linen shirts or tunics with leather or add touches of lace to collars and cuffs beneath classic jewel-toned velvet coats.
Don’t be afraid of ruffles and flounces!

Metallic Mastery
* Look at any outfit in the elven court lately and it’s hard to miss the gritty aesthetic of metal which has found a new home in the world of fashion.
* From full-blown decorative armor to flashes of brightly colored accessories, metal is being used in all elements of an on-trend outfit.
* For those not willing to go with such a rigid style, try adding shoulder-length or collarbone skimming strips of architectural metal to your ears or encase your fingers in sculptural features.
* Ceremonial weaponry is making an appearance too.
* Be a walking piece of art!

Sugar and Spice
* In contrast to the aforementioned loose layers of fabric and strictures of metal, others are opting to envelop themselves in deliciously soft fabrics instead.
* Chocolate and strawberry pink velvet or paeline pairs nicely with a mouthwatering confection of vanilla and mint silk.
* Add in touches of copper or brass to statement chokers, boot and belt buckles, with hints of cinnamon or pink peppercorn in your fragrance of choice.
* The options are limitless!

Woodland Walks
* Inspired by Elanthian forests and wooded glades, earth and leaf tones are at the forefront of the capsule wardrobe and setting the tone for this season’s neutral palette.
* Think mustards, oranges, and warm desert hues, in combinations of paeline knits with cotton or cambric undergarments.
* Practical footwear and light leather or woolen accessories are a must.

Feel free to catch Rohese in game, post here, send me a PM, or email me at elanthianelegance5115@gmail.com if you have any questions!
