I agree that INF doesn't do a whole lot for most professions, but I'd caution anyone against setting it so low it has a negative bonus just cause of its effect on trading... esp on dark elves, sniping rogues, and empaths.
Dark elves already take a pretty big hit on trading in most (all?) towns, so tanking INF will only compound that issue, esp at lower levels where it matters most. Divert is the only real crowd control sniping rogues have available to them and the INF bonus is added directly to that endroll. Lastly, it's a prim requisite for empaths, meaning it counts double for determining how many TPs they get.
