Hey, so the other half put in an alter request yesterday (premium contest win) for his AsG2 Robes to be altered, using the 'ataniki' noun and it was denied. I'd like to start by saying, the GM was right to do so, he wasn't upset, I'm not upset, we totally get that it wasn't allowed and it was right to do that! The other half got something he was perfectly happy with and the GM was awesome about the whole thing. It just got me thinking and I wanted to make a suggestion!
Since the 2015 post referenced on the wiki says that robes can pretty much be anything that makes sense and made from cloth as long as it is chestworn (https://gswiki.play.net/List_of_alternative_armor_names), I'd like to see ataniki and atanika added to that.
It's my recollection that overall these are shoulderworn cloak items and I don't want that to change because access to those nouns shouldn't be restricted to robe armor wearers; it would kill the ability for a lot of erithi to use them. However, I have a cloakworn item that has a noun of robe, so I'm hoping we could do the same with ataniki/atanika and allow them to be used both ways.
If it comes down to an either/or situation, then it's my opinion they stick with the cloakworn for best accessibility, but I hope it isn't an either/or!
