can zephyr go back to being Augmentation? It was my only aug spell...

Or alternatively, based on the statement that Utility is for healing and Augmentation is for stats, could Ignite become augmentation? I'd be fine with that :)

Plus, aren't you "augmenting" your weapon when you cast it?

For 1.5 gold, you can buy an ease burden scroll.

Or, if you have more coin/spell slots/skills, you can pick up tailwind, rage, whispers of the muse, will of winter, echoes of aether, soul ablaze, swirling winds, sure footing, or YS. Some are cheaper than others, but they all provide very nice effects.

I think augmentation is pretty narrowly defined as boosting (character) stats or skill?

Per recent magic-team comments, Augmentation is very, very broadly defined as 'improves your character.'

Per these definitions, weapon buffs should be agumentation, but the are not because Utility (defined, poorly, as 'none of the above') does not capture enough effects.

Join my 2016 campaign to rename and redefine Utility as Conjuration.

Conjuration, as in, summoning things up?

IE - Zephyr conjures up wind and Ignite conjures up some fire?

Compost (another utility spell) conjures up... faster than normal nature.

I can get behind that.

I'm also being horribly biased by my D&D youthe where healing was also a 'conjuration' effect. Also, 'utility' is semantically the odd word out in a list of 'augmentation, debilitation, warding, targeted magic and.... utility.' Conjuration would be better prose!

Some of us remember when it was Necromancy.

That's the problem with augmentation - it ends up drinking Utility's milk shake to become, by far, the most bloated of the skills.

Another option currently available to you is using the spell library in Throne City to forget spells, clearing up the slots to pick different ones. It's still currently in preview mode, so it's free without any downtime between uses aside from it only being open during the in-game daytime. You can even re-jig your entire spell book this way with only a small bit of time and effort if you really wanted to.

I like the Zephyr change. Now I can go ETF ETF RM GAF AB IGNITE ZEPHYR and get Utility going a little. Cast AC, research utiity 300, .pathw (summon admittance/starts pathway) and that's my Utiity training way!

Side idea. How about a utility spell that specifies spells like RM and Zephyr to ONLY me. Boosting the room is cool when I want to, but be awesome if had a say Air spell that funneled all that goodness to hide or help me breath only.

You're putting words into my mouth. We've developed them as both and then had an internal discussion to decide what they are. Are they "Utility for your character" or "Augmentation for the weapon". Ultimately we went with Utility since we can define Augmentation as "Stuff which makes characters better than they were" and still end up with a very broad and useful working definition of the skill.

Yeah this is what I thought it was, Augment yourself, Utilize other things.
