In The Den 04/18/2016 09:17 PM CDT
(I started writing this before the rumor and added more to include the concept of the recent rumor, as well as the recent sister meeting):

He sits there in the Den on an armchair he has been familiar with for some time. Decades now he has known this seat. Has he distinguished himself in this guild as others have? Certainly he has seen some action within his time as a Thief. Though his rank is nothing grandiose, he is a brethren, a respected and sometimes mocked Urban Ranger.

He snorts to himself, perhaps an odd noise uttered by an elf, such as himself. Though few to make any comment of such. The place is deserted. He likes around the Den. Certain that some memories would be conjured up. He recalls those few that had been given Thieves' Names. He amongst them, how many remembered such things, how many amongst those would use it now? He was perhaps disrespected when he was named, Honor. 'Bully Boss' had dubbed him that, he was sure of that reality. He recalled how soon after that a Snow Elven Lady would be named Trust. That was more hurtful, because 'Bully Boss' had suggested that he, Honor shouldn't trust her. That she was just a fling something that would end. 'Bully Boss' was right about Trust, she was worthy of the mockery. She disappeared suddenly, and for a time. Then when she came back to adventuring she had a complete different mindset, though in all appearance and even the title that others referred to her she remained a Snow Elf.

He looked around, it really was deserted, not odd really. No one kicking piles of torn cloth, or the smattering of bust bunnies. No idle chatter to just fill in the void. He was alone. Someone would grace the place, though almost as a ghost, the guest would vanish without a trace, leaving him not able to host.

He'd do this for days, different thoughts would creep into his mind. He'd fill the time hoping that perhaps someone would stay long enough to talk to chat. Nothing much was garnered. Perhaps a few started to see that others were wanting the Den to have a rebirth. Perhaps, though just as likely it was wishful thinking. What would hold their attention, then he heard it. Nothing directly, just one of the streets said someone was with Kalag, he was talking about some type of action on the streets, or something there about.

He looked around, and tried to get more solid information. Mainly though he stayed in the Den, others filtered in, he talked of the Rumor, as if it was some Dark Star that led the Thieves to the Den, more and more Thieves seemed to have some concept, some inner calling, some belief that the Den was something that was pertinent. Again Honor wondered, was this some type of wishful thinking (some type of confirmation bias). He shrugged it off, be the Phelim's attribute of virtue he would continue to hold the vigil as often as he could muster it.

Andu crept by, nothing more solidified, though things seemed to be coming to some type of regularity. There were more Thieves in the Den. He'd seen more at other points of his time here. However this was frequent and good. This was the right direction. By Phelim there might be a way, this could be the way.

Then suddenly, he heard rumors that a sister had arrived in Crossing. Perhaps this was part of the rumor he had heard. The Den had quieted down at this point, only a so called Shop Filler and himself were apparent. Honor suggested that they should check in with Kalag, of course there she was. Not much in the way of introductions, by any of the parties. Soon they were in the Den, and she was discussing not making much noise with pickaxes like the others hired for the task.

Someone scoffed at the possibility of hard and dirty labor. Most seemed to not know what they were supposed to do. Honor wondered if they were frightened. Perhaps it was shock though. Must of these people had seldom seen the Den this filled. She even commented on how her work would help the Den fill out more regularly. He wondered if she understood the simple need to have a purpose could do. Could bring a group of people, even Thieves together. It might not be because of the actual gain to the guild the work would accomplish. To him, he was just hopeful that this would make a real difference in their purpose.

Honor smirked to himself, the way only a Thief can, and while he didn't have much confidence as a Thief might, he had a certain belief that this might just might be what they all needed.
