Do NOTHING but what you NEED to do to circle. Script a lot, be in the game a lot. I am in the same boat as you, but I enjoy other things also, instead of just working those certain skills.

before I walked.. I was ~8 months going on 40 before I walked .... trick is

1. Enjoy Training, enjoy seeing those little numbers go up a fraction of a point
2. Find the quickest way to lock things
3. Lock as many things possible
4. Focus on just those skills to circle with
5. Pick the easiest skills to train as your top two
** some skills flip flop which is easiest to train at different levels of gameplay
6. Lets say you plan on having 25 WIsdom 25 Intelligence on your character when you're at your optimum (goal) level... Get those 25/25 points EARLY

He pretty much covered it all. Personally I enjoy combat and have always found that as a thief if you do it right this can be the best way to circle quickly. Find the right spot and you can lock hiding/stalk/BS/evasion plus get boxes off them for lock and disarm. Thats 6 survivals right there leaving you only 2 short of your eight.

It can often to be difficult to find one critter to train all of those things, but if your smart its often easy to find two critters relatively close that cover all those skills.

If there are any specific things holding you back or anythin you want advice on you can always post and im sure there are plenty who will offer great suggestions, your also welcome to email me, I am on ratha right now too.

Circling fast just means you are gonna suck something awful in the longrun, unless you seriously train lots of skills. Otherwise your just gonna be 40+ and over with pathetic skills in everything except the reqs and those wont be good since your gonna be needing those all the time so now specialist skills for you.

What you need for 32nd circle:
You have enough Highest 2 Survival for 31st circle, and need 4 ranks in Hiding for 32nd.
You have enough 8th Survival (Stealing) for 31st circle, and need 1 rank for 32nd.

You have enough 6th Survival (Disarm Traps) for 32nd circle, and need 1 rank for 33rd.
You have enough 7th Survival (Evasion) for 32nd circle, and need 2 ranks for 33rd.
You have enough Primary Weapon (Medium Edged) for 34th circle, and need 1 rank for 35th.
You have enough Secondary Weapon (Light Edged) for 34th circle, and need 2 ranks for 35th.
You have enough 5th Survival (Backstab) for 35th circle, and need 2 ranks for 36th.
You have enough Tertiary Survival (Stalking) for 36th circle, and need 2 ranks for 37th.
You have enough 4th Survival (Lockpicking) for 36th circle, and need 3 ranks for 37th.
You have enough Stealing for 38th circle, and need 2 ranks for 39th.
You have enough Mechanical Lore for 40th circle, and need 2 ranks for 41st.
You have enough Primary Lore (Appraisal) for 40th circle, and need 1 rank for 41st.
You have enough Primary Armor (Leather Armor) for 42nd circle, and need 2 ranks for 43rd.
You have enough Lockpicking for 48th circle, and need 2 ranks for 49th.
You have enough Stalking for 48th circle, and need 1 rank for 49th.
You have enough Hiding for 51st circle, and need 2 ranks for 52nd.
You have enough Tertiary Lore (Scholarship) for 62nd circle, and need 1 rank for 63rd.
You have enough Secondary Lore (Teaching) for 68th circle, and need 1 rank for 69th.
You have enough Multi Opponent for 76th circle, and need 2 ranks for 77th.
You have enough Tertiary Weapon (Long Bow) for 78th circle, and need 1 rank for 79th.
You have enough Parry Ability for 79th circle, and need 2 ranks for 80th.

If I train what I need for this circle and continue doing it that way the skills are going to pile up (my weapons for example) Also hiding is a pain for me, what I can hunt doesn't teach at all. I hunt Sand sprites, I can kill them in one BS, but if more than two shows up they start hurting me.

Its not as pretty as other calculators, but it seems very very accurate. It even correctly calculates average and over all ranks in any field (so unlike other calculators, it wont count scouting in for a thieves overall survival ranks, or trading skill you got 8 years ago in for your lore ranks).

I like Krin's calc, good for when I was rearranging my Survivals and what not.. playing 'what if's with circles.

Smegul is also wrong with secondary weapon for thieves (I think 10 ranks too high)

So... what I like to do as far as skills piling up is Switch stuff around keep it interesting..

I kept rotating my top two

My Survivals have actually changed dramatically from when the reqs were first implemented, as well as since the Hiding changes. Disarm and Locks have almost completely dropped off the radar -- 7 and 8, respectively. Climbing's number 6, as opposed to 8, Hiding has dropped from 1 to 3. As for Lores -- my goal is to make my Mech on par with my number one Survival by the Mech splitup. From there, I won't have to work it for over 20 circles.

Basically, it comes down to what is easiest, and most convenient to train.

I've been cut deep! Actually, I am happy to hear that folks find it accurate and I'll be the first to admit that it's not sexy. If anyone has any suggestions for it, I'm always happy to listen and more often than not implement the suggestions. E-mail or IM (Olwydd) work.
