Cobra title reqs had a small typo that was breaking one of the reqs. Should be fixed shortly.

Any chance more of the criminal/thief titles can have their ??? req replaced with actual numbers?

I'm not sure how many more times this can be said, but...

The information posted is the information that's going to be released.

Everyone I know with it said they had it the time the titles became available. I havnt met anyone that actually got it 'after' the new title system was in place, which makes me think something is up with it.

Pretend Titles 05/28/2007 05:24 PM CDT
Does anyone else want the requirement for pretend titles with stat requirements to be the actual stat requirements instead of a variety of stat/circle reqs? Or at least a method of determining what the released attributes would translate to for a thief. I dont know if all of the pretend title are calculated this way but I was working toward certain pretend titles for and then found out that the attribute reqs weren't a straight crossover. I'd rather do something more constructive with tdps if I don't know what I should be training.

I don't qualify for that one yet. weapons aren't up there.

and usually weapon ranks for barbs are substitued for us at 125% backstab, so i'm presuming for that rank i'd have to have 350 X 125% or 437.50 backstab.

i have 35 charisma.

although the other barb title of painted i was able to use when i had a barb paint me.

Only problem is real barbs still get that message of "pitiful" when they look at my warpaint, even though i'm using barb title.

This I picked up from my bartender cousin years ago...

Shaking a drink to mix it can make the alcohol more diluted which is called "bruising".

... Weird. I said that and then Krooner corrected me by saying exactly what I said.

Anyway, shaking it causes the ice to chip off into smaller pieces which then melt and water-down the alcohol. That's the reason it's usually stirred and not shaken. James can't handle his liquor.

Originally, the ice is not part of the liquid. When it melts, it becomes part of the liquid. Thus, what used to be X% alcohol is now X-Y% alcohol, where Y is non-zero.

That's what watered down means and I don't even drink.

Actually, yeah it does, believe it or not. Your getting more water to dilute the alcohol per serving. Meaning, what was 100% alcohol is now possibly 80% alcohol because of the melted ice. So instead of having 1 shot of say, Jack Daniels, your getting a shot and a quarter. So the mix isn't right if your looking to get a buzz on in a short time. Otherwise, it'll cost more and take longer to get that buzz goin. ;-P

So what you're saying is 10mls of pure alcohol is less potent than 10 mls of alcohol mixed with 2 mls water?

I thought that 10 mls of alcohol was 10 mls of alcohol, regardless of what it was mixed with.

Re: Title Requirements 06/22/2007 04:20 PM CDT
Having more non-alcoholic fluid (or even food, really) in yourbody dilutes it. A diluted alcohol running through your system makes it more difficult to get buzzed. You'll feel the kick much sooner if you drink something straight on an empty stomach, for example. You also sober up faster if you previously ate and drink lots of water after.

Re: Title Requirements 06/22/2007 04:24 PM CDT
Chiming in here before I knock us back on target.

Alcohol potency is not diluted. However, the effect the alcohol has on your body and the rate at which it is aborbed is reduced the more water or other non-alcoholic fluid you ingest.
