Use the skills and bonuses you can. You can still train effectively."

"you'll have to find a new critter to try and learn hiding off of... and if ya can't learn everything everywhere... oh well?

As for me I can still lock everything in adan'f so I'm enjoyin the hiding changes. :)"- "Rayfe"

You two don't understand the argument do you? Thieves should not have to deal with only being able to train hiding by sniping or doing stupid retreate unhide hide manuvers on 1% of the creatures in the realms that would teach there weapons at level and still move there hiding,

Thieves should not be made to be stuffed in a couple in town hunting areas just to be able to learn hiding, nore should we be forced to snipe to learn it ither, no other guild has such limitations as to where they can train skills. Even trading skill has three effective ways to train it.

You can come up with a couple examples im sure, but it doesn't hold water if you say barbs cant hunt x or y creature at level because of this reason or that reason because there will be 10 other things they could train on, for us and hiding its 1 thing we can learn on and 10 things we cant.

Not my fight, and I'm coming in at the end here, but that's wrong. Clerics are restricted in the use of a magic primary perk, TM, to only hunting undead. That's more restrictive than your hiding issue, cause the things which teach you hiding don't have god-like reflex/agility and horrible special attacks and ghetto hunting areas.

TM is not a perk. TM is a skill whose sole purpose in using the skill is to train the skill to fulfill requirements. If TM were a perk, then ALL magical guilds would be using it for offensive spells, and the 'perk' would be that magic prime guilds train it faster. Instead, other guilds get contested spells that require absolutely 0 TM.

Just want to clear up that misconception.

Still sounds like a perk to me. Non-prime guilds can train it, via runes and devices and classes. Which makes the free learning of TM a perk to magic primary guilds as a whole. Rather like backstab is a perk for the thieves guild, since no one else can use it (even if they learned a few ranks when it was teachable)

I forgot how well that fit with all the talking about mages.
