Any reliable/quick ways to build this apart from stabbing? I don't seem to have much success with anything but that.

Just stab in town critters.. Gets ya to top confidence real fast nothing else really needed IMO

Depending on your hide/stalk.. you might be able to sneak around some areas and boost confidence.
