All thief harvested easter egg stuff is only usable by thieves, not just the cubes.

As far as I know, in practice as well. At least the easter eggs I have tried as a barbarian did not work the same as they did for my thief.

'Easter Egg' component that can (very occasionally) be harvested out of one of the basic traps you'll find.

Either ask in game or find one and play with it to find out what it does.
