Odd happenings while waiting for Dindobeld 11/05/2016 10:52 PM CDT
Sa'a'qib was waiting for a session with Dindobeld when his bundle of snow goblin hides started to talking to him.

I have no idea if this was a GM doing it, or a character using some sort of thrown voice command...

What made it strange is that it appeared no one else heard the bundle talking, so all everyone else saw was Sa'a'qib screaming at his bundle and freaking out...

...I'm okay with that.

Here's the transcript (I have stripped out anything not related to the bundle talking):

Your lumpy bundle exclaims, "I'm not dead yet!"

You ask, "Wait, what?"

You peer closely at a lumpy bundle, but see nothing of interest, maybe if you EXAMINEd it closely, you would see more.

Your lumpy bundle exclaims, "Let me outta here!"

You say, "I uh."

You see a rather untidy, rope-bound bundle of the sort used to haul skins and pelts and such.

You carefully remove a pale goblin hide from the bundle.

Your lumpy bundle exclaims, "Foul beast!"

You scream!

You exclaim, "Is alive!"

You carefully fit a pale goblin hide into your bundle.

You sling a lumpy bundle off from over your shoulder.

You drop a lumpy bundle.

> kick bun
Now what did the bundle ever do to you?

> punch bun
Actually, using a weapon would probably be a bit more effective.

You pick up a lumpy bundle.

Your lumpy bundle exclaims, "Ouch, quit it!"

You ask, "Is being okay in there?"

You sling a lumpy bundle over your shoulder.

Your lumpy bundle says, "I am a bit cold..."

You say, "Cold? How you being cold! You are from snow goblins! you are being warm."

You say, "Silly bundle."

You pat a lumpy bundle.

Your lumpy bundle says, "You try getting skinned and see if you're cold or not."

You say, "Is okay. Soon Sa'a'qib be wearing you."

You say, "Hey, you are were killing momma and poppa."

You exclaim, "Try being orphan, see how being cold you are!"

Your lumpy bundle says, "Orphans are delicious."

You say, "You give me back momma and poppa, I will pin you to living goblin."

You say, "You not can be eating Sa'a'qib."

You exclaim, "Next time I am being seeing Goblins, will think their heart out of chest!"

You exclaim, "Look, there is Goblin, Sa'a'qib. You be thinking and heart pops out!"

You exclaim, "Sa'a'qib can be making all the hearts of all Goblins pop out. With power of mind!"

You exclaim, "I am Sa'a'qib, I am the Bane of Goblins!"

You pant.

You say, "Am being sorry. Am getting maybe emotional."

You say, "Am missing Momma and Poppa."

You sniffle.

You softly say, "I miss you momma and poppa."

Your lumpy bundle says, "We don't miss."

You say, "You are being talking a lot for dead."

You ask, "Is other people being hearing my bundle talk?"

You say, "Or is Sa'a'qib hearing the voices."

You ask, "Is no one else? Is being just me?"

At this point, Dindobeld came to get Sa'a'qib and the bundle ceased talking. Reminds me of that cartoon with the singing frog.

Looks like thrown voice. Probably a bard.

Why ruin the magic.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Wouldn't others have been able to hear it, too?

Yes. also the bard wouldn't have been able to throw the voice on something he's wearing (afaik)

Thieves can also throw voices but I never remember which guild can do what. There are silly differences. And yes, it messages the room.

Throwing my voice at stuff people are holding is one of my favorite Bard things to do.

For reference of who can throw voices where:
Bards:
1. Any items that the Bard is wearing or holding.
2. Items in something you are wearing or holding.
3. Any items someone else is wearing or holding.
4. At NPC's.
5. At players.

Thieves:
1. Throw your voice in different directions.
2. Objects lying around.
3. Items in/on/behind/under item on the ground.
4. Items on critters.
5. At critters.

All I've ever wanted to do was make my own items talk.

Step 1: shoot Saragos
Step 2: throw voice from his body
Step 3: Profit?

As hilarious as this would be, what I want is to throw a variety of miniatures on the ground and make them talk to one another. (For a performance -- Navesi is not this whimsical in daily life.) One of the Troupe thieves did this and I am forever envious.

Not a thief nor a bard so I'm basically volunteering other peoples' abilities up but I wish all VTs were shared and attainable by either guild; both to help hide Thieves' guild and to blur the performance line between Bards and Thieves. Keep the teaching split between the 2 guilds.
