Which guild's member usually do the best job

What guild do you think in general does the best job of role playing by it's members? Around therengia you see a high number of pallies who do an excellent job, but then most bards i know really are great at it also.... Just curious if you think some guild members do better at playing the role than other guilds? or would you say it is pretty much an individual thing?

I think this sort of things waxes and wanes based on what's currently going on at the time. In more recent years, Necromancers, their cohorts, and their counterparts had a lot of things going on and you can see a time of large roleplay atmosphere around that grouping. Shortly after Lyras' death, the events sparked a lot of Empaths to engage in some serious roleplay and set of a chain of events. In the past, the Moon Mage guild has had a lot going for it in terms of an active roleplay community.
I don't think you can point at one group and say "These guys are the always the best", because it's going to shift based on what players decide to get their characters up to and what other things GMs are acting on with events.

I don't see any guild as being more likely (on average) to actively role-play than other guilds. It simply boils down to the individual player's commitment to role-playing and what else is going on in the game to act as an RP catalyst.
However, I do wonder if we don't see more OOC behavior from guilds that have a higher percentage of mules -- characters that, by definition, only exist to serve another of the player's characters.

Good point about the mules. My main is a guild that most long time players have a mule in. I was curious if others considered one guild that more heavy into role play tended to play. I understand that there is some awesome guys who Role play very well in all guilds.... would you consider the people interested in heavy play may migrate to certain areas in the game over others? more of an area/province being more RP heavy than a guild? I am curious as a returning player if you guys that have been around a lot longer have noticed a trend ect.

My completely biased experience says Moon Mages and Necromancers probably get the most roleplayers drawn to them due to the sheer volume of history, lore, and events for them.
Moon Mages also get to cheat by having an absolutely massive toolbox at their disposal for event involvement in the form of event prediction, general global visions, and being able to Locate/Mirror/Thoughtcast.
