Things I fondly remember doing as a commoner, and recommend every noob does before choosing a guild.

1) Try a few different weapons till goblin level to see which ones you like.

2) Visit every province without using travel scripts. Getting stuck in the mud and having to dig your way out while falling over from seismic activity is half of the fun.

3) Listen to multiple guild leader speech pitches. They need to earn your recruitment. Look around the guilds too as you are able, some of them like the Warmie Guild and Moonie Guild are quite nice.

4) Whenever you find a neat, unknown new item, try to poke around it for a while before immediately wiki'ing it.
