Is there a point of no return for Commoners? 04/04/2006 01:06 PM CDT
Just rolled a character and I'm curious about keeping her a commoner for now. Since I've never done this before, I was wondering if there is a time when we'd no longer be able to join a guild? So if I have 100 in lots of my skills, and I decided to put her in a guild, can I do that at a later time? Or is there a limit.

Thank you for those that know these things. Being a commoner is so new to me.

Nope, no point of no joining.

Note, however, that once you join your first guild, you would still suffer the loss of all skills if you switch guilds.

Also note that some combinations of train as a commoner/join a guild work better than others. Commoners cannot actively train magic other than MD, so that can be a drawback, and, unless yo concentrate strongly on the terts-to-be, you are wasting some of the training time spent on primaries-to-be.
