>Ranger trails with one exception I didn't notice until it was too late ALREADY HAVE THIS TREATMENT. Also Rangers probably have the climbing/swimming to contest it directly, which if I can figure out how to do would be equally fine. ~Z

This was posted in relation to survival skill checks (or lack thereof) in the current shift moonbeam. Can you talk a little more about what this post means for Ranger trails/tracking/etc? Does this mean it might be possible to add swim/climb checks to tracking over obstacles?

I'd love to know more about this...
Would be great to have trails that required both good scouting and good Outdoorsmanship to provide and even shorter-shortcut.

I'm guessing it means the Lang - Ferry and vice versa trail does not check swimming/perception/whatever needed to go the "long way". Even though I'm pretty sure the long way is faster due to trails being exceedingly slow.

I think there is also a trail on Aesry that bypasses the swimming check in Sharks. Not that there is anything back there other than housing.

The "long way" takes about 1/3 the time as the "short cut", which is entirely typical of trails in general.
