Guildleader Paglar,

It has been 393 years and 17 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer. On this day Guildleader Tomma lead an investigation into the lack of activity of the Shadoweavers behind Corik's wall. She was joined by Guildeader Mortom of the Moonmages and Guildmistress Sothavi of the Clerics, as well as a group of rangers and citizens of ilithi and elsewhere.

She suggested that we stop and question The Last. He recalled seeing a guard running from the wall, with his pockets jingling, assuming this was coins, it seems the guards were bribed away from their post leaving defenses weakened. Shortly after learning this Shadoweavers swarmed the canyon killing many and initially overwhelming the defenders caught off guard.

As a few of the Shadoweavers were slain they were overheard, confirming that coin had been exchanged with the guards as well there being some sort of maybe leader to the group they were supposed to meet with. One Shadoweaver referred to a supposed meeting place up in the hills, and inquiring why they were still fixing HIS mess. These conversations only lead to more questions. As the battle continued the strength of the Shadowearvers became more apparent as some of the strongest warriors were being picked off easily.

With a serious unified effort by the Guildleaders and those present they were forced back behind Corik's wall. The Shadoweavers of unheard of strength were taken down very slowly, we can assume from this the Dark hand is only growing stronger with time.

The main points of concern from the investigation is how easily the guards were bribed to abandon their duties to protect the wall. The considerable cunningness and strength of the Shadoweavers is yet another issue that should be discussed. If there is some controlling presence in the Dark Hand now planning such intelligent strategy it is cause for rethinking the security of the hand. Such occurrences cannot be ignored, the danger in which the Dark Hand possesses to nature if the wall falls is too dire to dwell upon.

Guildleader Tomma feels that you are more capable of dealing with the situation at hand, considering she has recently discovered a new flower that requires some study. Security of the wall should be addressed and maybe even consideration sending a messenger to reach the Shadow Clan to see if there has been any changes in the Dark Hands activities.

Hopefully you will know what should be done.
