Billy Zane and Tom Berenger from Sniper

Mark Wahlberg from Shooter

John Caughlin (GySgt USMC) Carlos Hathcock (GySgt USMC) If you knew some of the details of Hathcock's missions you would agree.

Sammy Sosa was once a Ranger as well as Alex Rodriguez. I think Nolan Ryan goes as the most famous Ranger though.

What about Chuck Norris?!

Please don't associate A-rod with rangers. I feel ill...

Has anyone said Link? I think Link makes a pretty damn good ranger. I really like how he loads his bow without casting see the wind. :ducks:

I agree. I feel ill as well now upon my own doings. Chuck Norris wouldn't be so bad though! Haha.

Among several, I liked the characters in Sharpe's Rifles, but particularily Daniel Hagman.

Alex Rover from Nim's Island, although he's more "adventurer" than "ranger".

Oh, and Nim herself I guess. Can't get much more rangerly than living on your own island with just your dad and a few animal friends who can talk to you (and you understand what they're saying).

By the way, Z, I really want Freddy the Lizard, Selkie the Sea Lion, or Galileo the Pelican as a companion. We need some animals with personality like that (samurai lizard allergic to something enough that he sneezes, stinky sea lion creating bubbles in the water, and helpful/protective pelican).

J'Lo, I'm a ranger.. I'd believe anything.....

Dunno if I mentioned this one yet or not, but I just played again today so I am re-mentioning Nathaniel Drake from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

I also love the thought of us beseeching earth to make a giant hole and then beseeching vines to cover it over and making a pit fall that dealt massive damage to anyone unfortunate enough not to spot it.

The only downside, of course, is that it would be yet another ability whose only defense is perception. But still, make it so! Then rename Disarm Traps to Traps and make it teach traps.

P.S. Trivia: Dune is how I chose my charater's name ... played off the planet's name, Arrakis.
