While I appreciate any/all meetings with our guru's and attend whenever I can, I do have a problem with them being held in Crossing. I'm not saying hold them in Theren or Aesry, I'm saying to get them out of town. The last thing I want to do is sit in a stinky town for a few hours... even if I do have nice company :) So here's my suggestion for the 'Infamous To-Do List'....

1. Stick a trailmarker by the treehouse at the Crossing Guild. Make it real easy to find so the youngins can find it (maybe let it teach to ~5 ranks).

2. Find a clearing somewhere between the Guild and Knife Clan. It should be 3 rooms: One for the termination point for the trailmarker in #1, one for a trailmarker back to the Guild, and one for the actual meeting place.

3. Both arrival and departure rooms should be set up to be able to hear the goings on in the actual meeting room (like at the ampetheater).

4. The actual meeting room should have all the regular mechanics for meetings... only Rangerized. Perhaps wood nymphs for the ushers and a slate hanging on a tree for 'The List'.

5. Rangers that can't attend meetings (because they're on the islands or something) would just need an escort for their brother/sister/cousin to attend.

6. Not to make this GvG or anything, but there is precedent for this with the Moonies and their observatory in Leth.

7. Most importantly... it gets us out of a stinky town!


Well that's the basic idea. Any comments or additional ideas welcome ;)

I like it, good idea.

Good idea too. 'Cept lets hang it high and laugh at the short folks jumping to get at it.

Overall, a good suggestion. Think I've seen it before but I'm not sure where or when. Would be nice to see it implemented.

May I suggest something that was used before for the other survival guild, so the mechanics exist.


Except in reverse.

Create a vine-gate <the other guild used a shadow-gate> from the Crossing Amphitheatre to one of the lesser-used Ranger guildhalls. make sure it is a 2-way gate. Would use some of the same existing mechanics as portals/moongates. That way as a ranger you'd only have to go into crossing for a very brief time, then take the vine-gate to <whereever> for the actual meeting.

Or we could have the gate in the grove, that way those who don't want to go into town can use the crossing guild back door.
