I already posted this in the companions, but wanted to get more of an opinion base on this.

We have had the same companions for decades, maybe a falcon that rides on our shoulder.

This way we cant forget it at a ferry etc. It can deliver things just like the wolf, but since the wolf is a progression of the raccoon, maybe progress the falcon so we can see/hear what is going on in the room, maybe even speak or deliver messages as well as items.

Thoughts?

I can hear Falkonis weeping somewhere....

But yes, I think its universally agreed the companion system in rough shape. I think a bird of prey would be a great addition when its rewritten, but I hope to see a full rewrite as opposed to a copy/paste of existing mechanics.

Seems a bit close to familiar territory, but having them be able to carry a scroll or slate like the ones sold in Leth would be great.
