When my Ranger husband cast COTC on me, here's what I saw:

<XXX gestures at you.
<XXX's cambrinth armband emits a loud snap.
<XXX's hands clench and unclench, Radiating with power his hands begin to transform into the claws of a mighty cougar.
<XXX growls ferociously.

My husband also saw the messaging as being faulty - he saw himself gesturing at me but the spell affecting him; however, when he concentrated, the spell was not cast on him. When I checked, I confirmed that the spell was cast on me.

So despite the messaging that indicated the spell affected him, it really was properly cast on me. I'm sure someone will want to fix this in due course.
