Creature (ws) – You stare into <creatures> eyes and you are both frozen for a moment then all the death and blood on the creatures hands comes to the fore drowning the creatures mind in the agony it has caused. The creature is stunned for level/10 seconds…Paladin is stunned for level/20 seconds win contest reverse for lose contest

Creature (w/o soul) – You stare into <creatures> eyes and the void stares back you fill you have lost a piece of your soul (major soul decrease). Paladin stunned for level/10 seconds. Lose contest

Creature (w/o soul – You stare into <creatures> eyes and the void stares back the might of your soul shines forth shattering the void (major soul increase) the creature howls in pain and turns to ash. Win contest

Player (lock pickers guild)– You stare into <players> eyes. You feel a moment of disconnect with reality and <player> smirks at you.

Player (barbarians guild)- You stare into <players> eyes. You feel an overwhelming moment of panic as blood seems to rain from the sky the moment clears and you see <player> has a dreamy look of fond remembrance on their face. Barbarian remembrance rt(10sec). Paladin horror rt(15sec) lose contest

Player (barbarians guild) – You stare into <players> eyes. You feel an overwhelming moment as images of blood rain pervade your mind then your soul shines forth turning the blood rain into a crystal clear pure downpour making you feel refreshed and in awe of the wonders of existence. Paladin 5 sec rt…Barbarian the attempt to cleanse your inner fire enrages you. strongest offensive berserk possible is triggered no RT.

Player (paladins guild) – Really they are a fellow paladin or higher paladins can cleanse lower level paladins and boost their soul pool back up.

Player (empath) - You stare into <players> eyes and a sense of peace and harmony settles over your soul. Paladin may not attack for level/2 seconds. win or lose

I love the flavor of this one! I'm not sure about some of the specifics.

You don't see many contested abilities in 3.0 that offer a penalty to the caster for failure. SICK gives roundtime if you cast without a valid target, but nothing for failing the contest. The closest analog is probably some of the Teleological and Hylomorphic sorcery stuff, but IMO Paladins could really, really use another top-tier disabler besides Halt, so take away the downside for Paladins completely and make it a vanilla contested ability.

Keep it a glyph, not a spell. That way it can be a power v. fortitude or reflexes attack, and Paladins can put their physical bulk to good use in a stat contest. I think any decent non-magical power v. whatever disabler would be a huge win for Paladins in general just because of their skillset and current arsenal.

You don't see many abilities that debuff with roundtime anymore. Perhaps instead of a fixed time it could be a Paladin curse. The flavor could be that, like other glyphs, it decays over time, with a high chance to cause spikes of roundtime at the beginning and a low chance at the end.
