So I was reading in the armor and weapons thread all of the suggestions about different combinations of armor to wear. What if paladins (or all high-level smiths) had the ability to ASSEMBLE and DISASSEMBLE a suit of armor made up of multiple armor types? The hindrance of the assembled suit would be an average of the hindrance of all the pieces. The final appearance would be based the piece making up the largest quantity of material (i.e. 'a makeshift suit of plate armor').
From a quality of life perspective and an aesthetic perspective, I would much prefer to wear a single set of armor as opposed to juggling a half dozen pieces/sets.
We have a name for your disease. We call it a hyper-aesthetic one. You have been encouraged to over-indulge yourself in literature; and have inflamed your organs of fancy.
