The Devour spell has been updated to work with harvested material.

So, this is semi-complex. Devour now works two ways: the first way that you always have been using it, and now it can also be fueled by having harvested material in one of your hands. This will destroy the harvested material but provide a reduced-power version of the spell. How much reduced depends on the creature the material comes from and the quality of the cut. It takes a flawless cut of a very powerful creature to get the best power you can out of this function, and even then it will be noticeably worse than casting on a fresh corpse through the Consumption ritual.

You do not need to use material that you yourself harvested, so if you want to trade in butchered flesh that's totally okay.
