IIRC it was put in as an "easter egg" when someone posted that you could OPEN the stairs as well as CLIMB them, as OPEN was a bug.

Most of the guildhalls have arbitrary and hilarious ways of killing yourself, to be fair.

I think only p5 lacks one, but maybe I just never found it.

I find it amusing that the GMs attempt to keep necros so secret. When the players of thieves tried to do that, everyone laughed.

FWIW... Thieves have a box in the p4 guild that will kill you. It is amusing. There's even a sign that says "do not touch"... but I mean, you gotta. Right?

only P1 and P2 have insta-kill fun and prizes. P3 sticks the journey itself as being risky, and P5 arguably has its risk in leaving the guild.



Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

I've seen multiple people die while leaving the P3 guild because automapper takes them out the wrong way. I think that way is instadeath at least? I'm not sure. I've never gone that way.

I'm surprised the emergency tube exits are even flagged as options. I made my own map of that area and never even considered it.

I've found that the official genie maps are not very smart about how the Necro guild halls were mapped. For example, the automapper usually attempts to take people through the P1 guildhall from most places on the map it's on even if you aren't a Necro because whoever added the guild to the map didn't think to make the path through the guild to the random exit be longer than the path that takes you around the guild. It even screws Necromancers up since it usually breaks the automapper unless they happen to come out at the exact point the exit link happens to be connected to.
