Devour and Disease Not Playing Nice? 10/25/2018 12:05 AM CDT
I was opening boxes and tripped a disease trap, the other day.

After healing down with Devour (62 mana, powered by a critter body) I noticed that the disease didn't seem to go dormant.

Cast Consume Flesh on all my body parts and nothing was showing as injured.

Does this particular form of disease (judging by the elanthipedia page, Fleshrot?) not go dormant or did Devour mess with it?

Either way, it's a bit annoying to be able to keep up with the wounds being generated but needing to just sit and do nothing to clear it via death.

Disease traps do indeed inflict fleshrot. It doesn't go dormant like gangrene does, but I think it'll go away eventually on its own (this might be an impractically long time, though). Alternatively, it sometimes moves from one person to another, so you could potentially "cure" yourself of it by hanging out around other people and hoping it will go become their problem. This may or may not be a good idea, I'm just throwing it out there as an explanation of how the disease works.
