Moon Mages make use of the sun in very minor ways (Burn and Dazzle mostly) and it provides some mana. Overall it's not a strong thematic component.

It's possible Trader magic will make more use of it - one of the themes we're playing with their is much more use of starlight (which, in DR, is not at all the same thing as sunlight) and a general reduced emphasis on the moons vs the rest of the heavens.
