It's feast or famine with Astrology. Either you have pools saved up from the last time you trained it and can get a lot experience really fast, or it takes an 30 minutes to an hour to build up a couple full pools so that you can lock. My best advice for using this method is just to get into the habit of observing a constellation every so often just to keep your pools stocked up to reasonable levels between astrology training sessions. Building this into your other scripts is a good way to go. For example, if you have a rock collecting script have it observe every time the observe timer comes up.

The new spell Read the Ripples will definitely help with this as well, and is specifically geared towards it... but it comes with the caveat of requiring 250 effective ranks of Utility skill. Depending on your Lunar Magic skill that will be around 200-210 ranks of Utility likely. The spell will let you fill your pools at an accelerated rate once per hour.

Predict Weather teaches a lot more if you use it indoors away from any doors or windows, although the learning timer seems to be a lot higher to compensate. You'll notice a difference in the messaging (something like "Using your prophetic talent" instead of "Taking note of the current weather"). I'm around the same skill level in Astrology and using it indoors usually bumps me to 6/34. I sometimes use that when I log in and want a quick bump to start.

Hm seems like there is no easier way.. Although I do appreciate that tip about the indoor predicting. And yea I can hilight the observe timer but its just kind of annoying doing a 14 second round time every 2 minutes.. especially when in combat. I kind of like things where I can train then move on but I think astrology is different..
