Rumors are spreading that a fugitive Halfling Empath was spotted recently at the Hangman's Noose in Shard. A crowd gathered about him, and the whole ordeal looked quite shifty to other patrons who were present -- whispers and skulking about in a corner of the establishment. While we aren't sure of the exact details, we are certain that certain Empaths have gained new insight that their Guild elders frown upon.

This week, we have a special release for skilled Empaths. While investigating a messaging tweak to SHIFT meant to help folks avoid accidentally giving up a special customized feature, we discovered that decade age shifting has been in the system for...many years. However, it had its difficulty set beyond player achievable ranks. We couldn't find anyone who knew the reasoning nor any documentation for why it was disabled, so we made a 2 line edit to lower the difficulty (one in the guts and one in the syntax messaging!) to enable it! Congrats! No longer will you need to shift ages by a single year at a time, provided you have the talent for the larger decade chunks.
This also comes with the aforementioned messaging updates -- both the shifter and shiftee should see exactly what features are being changed now, in most cases (ages and beards don't message extra). You'll see the current setting (to make customized ones stand out) as well as what it's being shifted to as part of extending the offer to shift.

As an update on strike team -- this marks the 52nd weekly release, a full year of them now complete. We don't plan to stop, though! There are still plenty of little things to be done to improve the game, and so long as we have the drive and pile of projects, we intend to continue on.
Tullie has stepped back to take a breather and focus on some other awesome projects for a while, but the talented Koror has stepped into her place! You'll see his handiwork in just a few weeks! Stay tuned, there's more coming!
