I've recently wanted to train up my empath in combat a bit to make him a little more hardy, I'm getting this odd messaging I noticed I never got with any of my other characters wearing the same combo of gear.
You can't hide in all this armor!
Roundtime: 3 sec.
This is what I'm wearing
You are holding a leather-covered buckler in your left hand and a broadsword with a glaysker flower handguard in your right hand.
You are wearing a narrow cambrinth armband engraved with lightning bolts, a journey pack, a flat-black chain balaclava, a flecked black albredine ring, some dark hunting leathers, a dull black felt satchel with a wide kidskin strap, a ruby red badge stitched with "A trip to Shard and all I got was a lousy badge!", a blue gem pouch, a dark steel belt knife, some mail gauntlets, a lumpy bundle, a lumpy bundle, a large soldier's supply sack reinforced with steel-studded leather strips, a shamrock smoking-jacket, a cambrinth ring, a burlap hip pouch stitched with the image of a Gor'Tog eating a bar of soap, a lumpy bundle.
Is there a penalty for empaths to hide with armor on?

You can use Inv Armor as a quicker way to list what armor you're wearing. It's a lot easier than listing everything.
inv armor
All of your armor:
a blood red buckler
a black leather helm reinforced with a multitude of ironwood plates
a double-breasted coat tailored of dark steelsilk
a pair of articulated ironwood gauntlets
a pair of articulated ironwood greaves
[Type INVENTORY HELP for more options]

>nevermind my leather buckler was bugged.
If that's a buckler from ogres, it wasn't bugged, it was just obscenely hindering (as designed).

If it makes you feel any better, I've had a few experienced barbs ask me about those ogre bucklers too. ;)
