This has happened several times that I've seen, and plenty more... can anything be done?

Of course. Ask a ranger for a compost. Pick up the ropes and put them in the bucket. Walk away. (Try to) attack him. Ignore it. Have a war mage cast, umm, Shockwave?. Have a bard sing abandoned hearts or Aether Wolves or some other enchante to flush him out. Insult him. Trash-talk.

Report/assist. Probably will have to warn him first so that he knows you feel he's being disruptive, but if a GM comes down and agrees his doing stuff is being disruptive there then they will tell him to knock it off and the items will be dealt with. If he doesn't listen to the GM, he gets a warning for further disruption. With enough such things, he disappears entirely and if he tries to skirt lockout or afterwards continues his behavior then Sang gets to mess with his head.

Trying actually doing something about it, even if you feel it's going to waste time. It really will make you feel better.

He was thumped last time by someone. I've asked him to stop. I REPORTed and was just told to use dump junk.

Seriously though, make use of it. Get a compost rune and start casting to beef up the mana in the room while you heal up.
