Ok, can anyone tell what i need to do to cast Ritual spells. Any help would be wonderful. With my skills I should be able to cast Words of the Wind unless the information listed is wrong.
Since you're not feeding enough power into the spell pattern to make it coherent, you quickly work your way to the minimum required.
You feel intense strain as you try to manipulate the mana streams to form this pattern, and you are not certain that you will have enough mental stamina to complete it.
However, if you utilize a ritual focus: That won't affect your current attunement very much.
You trace an angular sigil in the air, shaping the pattern of the Words of the Wind spell.

You gaze upward seeking the strongest flows of Air.
You strain, but are too mentally fatigued to finish the pattern, and it slips away.

You need to invoke a ritual focus to take relieve the stain of the cast (the focus reduces the mana cost).

Where would I go to obtain one?

They're 4 gold.

This is the standard "you don't have enough mana" message. Words of the Wind has a min-prep of 80, which is probably too much for you unaided. You want to head to the artificer's in Crossing and buy the corked glass bottle. Hold the bottle and then:
1. Prep the spell
2. Invoke the bottle
3. Wait for full prep
4. Cast
That will significantly reduce the mana cost.

Wha? I thought you needed the staves to do rituals. Oh well, luckily money is useless.

The cheap items have a limited number of uses and are limited to a specific spellbook. the staves do not have limit on uses and apply to the entire mana type.

Using the staves also requires the Improvised Rituals feat.

Thya,
It was not at all obvious to me, either. Someone had to explain it to me, too. It's just not like anything we've ever had to do before. Remember to buy the CORRECT focus thingie. There is only one of the temporary ones that will work for elemental users. Save up for the expensive stave; save up your coppers, save a spot for it on your shoulder because it won't fit in a backpack or weapon harness, and save up a slot in your feats.
The little bottle at the shop requires none of those things. :) Also, the little bottle does not clash with anything you are wearing, and you'll never be mistaken for a wizard when using it.

The temporary ones are based on spellbook, not mana type.
> Save up for the expensive stave
There's no good reason to buy the stave. It only saves you money after 15000 rituals, and it's far more inconvenient.

The staff is a pain to carry around, needs a feat to use, and is very expensive, which are all very inconvenient - but running out of magic powder when you are a long way from the Artificer's shop is also very inconvenient and having the staff means never, ever running out, which is pretty nice and makes up for all the inconvenience, at least for me.

It'd be nice if more artificers stocked this stuff. Is it a lot of time to update shop inventory? I have no idea.
But anything that sends you to crossing is just irritating on principle.
