One more, for the road... 08/15/2005 09:24 PM CDT
Since I am in a sharing mood, here is one for the new bards:

Incense and altars,
Chapels, all musty;
Sage and lavander,
Books, old and crusty?

This is for clerics, for servants of Gods,
I pray, however, for better lot.

Arcane mumbo-jumbo,
Runes and wands,
Creatures of magic,
Ever dazed minds?

That?s for war mages, slaves of their arts;
I seek, however, a better path.

Forests and hills,
Sky for a roof,
Survival skills,
Living aloof?

This is for rangers, lovers of nature;
I strive, however, for better penchant.

Hunting forbidden,
Yet scars mar the flesh,
So work overridden
With wounds old and fresh?

This if for empaths, for healers of people;
I hope, however, for better keeping.

Stars, telescopes,
Rune divination,
Prophesies, hopes,
Moongate creation?

That?s for moon mages, scholars of fortune,
I dream, however, of better portion.

Dust of the road,
Mules and yaks,
Pricing your load,
Peddling your pack?

This if for traders, makers of money,
I count, however, on better cunning.

Shadowy living,
Hiding from law,
Lying and stealing,
Crossbow drawn?

This is for thieves, masters of stealth,
I search, however, for better health.

Singing and dancing,
Traveling free,
Juggling, romancing,
Living with glee?

This is for bards, players of music,
And this is what I plan on choosing.
