Isn't Desert Maelstrom supposed to train Debilitation? I can't seem to get that skill moving at all. I know the spell is successful because I'm seeing critters spin around and get confused, but I'm gaining no experience in Debilitation. Or is it just not challenging enough where I'm hunting? Just can't get a feel for how to effectively train that.

Thanks.

Is your debilitation skill higher than the critters defenses? If so theres your reason.

Useff,

Basically what was posted in the magics folder was that debilitation is the non-damaging TM. If you can learn TM off a critter, you need about the same debilitation ranks to learn from that critter. So if your debilitation skill is substantially higher than your TM and combat skills (guessing most bards are in this situation), you won't be learning debilitation until your combats catch up.
