Redeemer's Pride is defending against Glythtide's joy? 10/17/2015 12:40 AM CDT

I cast Glythtide's Joy, and then I started casting redeemer's pride.

Finally your song comes together like a long-awaited punch line to a joke you haven't heard since childhood.
GroupMate's confidence dampens your attack.
The aethereal static continues to gather under the call of your spell.

Note that the spell on me didn't weaken the GJ. Only the spell on them.

It used to, but then it was adjusted.

There's not a bug here. GJ is a Charm vs Will against everyone in the room*, and REPR protects against vs Will attacks.

*Including the caster. How many guilds can say they have a spell that lets them enter a contest with themselves?

I think a couple anti-magic barriers work this way.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Shear and Worm's Mist block outgoing spells in certain situations, but they're not stat contests in the same way that GJ is.
