My shintu will only play quiet ballads. Tried in multiple bodies of water across the globe, but only ballads. Two examples:

Also, found this amusing for something that only be played in water. I feel like having it in water is the only way you could tell if it needs repair.

Your shintu is submerged in the water! Maybe you should find somewhere drier before trying to to assess or repair it.
