Potential Sanctuary bugs? 03/27/2015 05:27 PM CDT
I have been doing some testing with Sanctuary lately, and I ran across some oddities. I'm not sure if they are intended or bugs. Here they are:

1) The power of the Sanctuary appears to depend on Integrity, not Potency. That is, if Integrity is high, you will unlock the anti-clairvoyance and anti-stealth effects at lower mana.

2) A moon mage whose DG is blocked by Sanctuary is still able to speak through the beam.

Invisibility stuff. Note that hiding and sneaking are both blocked by a full, anti-stealth Sanc.

3) Moon Mage Invisibility. Casting RF in the protected room is blocked. However, it IS possible to leave the room, put up RF, and return to the room without losing the invisibility. If the moon mage is pointed out, the invisibility also resumes as normal.

4) Thief Invisibility. Thieves appear to have no limitations on their invisibility with Sanctuary up. They can both put up invisibility in a protected room, and walk into the room already invisible. If they are pointed out of invisibility, it reforms as normal.

5) Necromancer Invisibility. EOTB is blocked when cast in the protected room. However, as with RF, it is possible to put up the spell in another room and enter without losing invisibility. If pointed out, it reforms as normal.

6) Ranger Invisibility. Blend is not blocked.

This is probably not a bug. There's a couple other spells that are based on Integrity too. E.g. A moonblade upgraded with Empower Moonblade gains a number of nodes based on the Integrity of the cast rather than the Potency of it.

<<2) A moon mage whose DG is blocked by Sanctuary is still able to speak through the beam.

I would say not a bug because they're not scrying, which is what the ward blocks specifically. The ward does not block, remove, or prevent the Distant Gaze spell itself, just its scrying effect. Further, the spell is actually in effect on the Moon Mage (e.g. it can be dispelled by a dispel cast at the Moon Mage himself) and doesn't go away. Sanctuary just puts the scrying portion of it on hold, and if the Sanctuary drops the scrying begins again.

Nope. I only know of Empower Moonblade because Armifer happened to mention it in the announcement thread.
