Analyzing blades versus armor 07/09/2009 04:41 AM CDT
Has anyone else noticed a discrepancy with the number of completed pieces necessary to analyze armor versus blades? I feel like you need to complete WAY more blades than armor to get analyze info. I realize armor has fewer categories, but I've made a crapload of scimitars already...

The chainmail vest is a forged chain piece of armor.
It was made by someone with significantly more skill than your own.
It is in perfect condition.
It is an easy piece to make.
From the pattern of forge imprints and hammer impressions on the chainmail vest, you recognize it as the work of Jobag.
It was pounded out several times.

Roundtime: 18 seconds.

> analyze my scim

You are unable to learn anything about the scimitar.

Roundtime: 8 seconds.

Isn't that the message you get from store bought items? Did you grab the wrong scimitar to analyze?

Its been cleared. He didn't melt the bars. It's the bug/feature of not counting items to the creation count part of the counter to factor into analyzing. He only got bits counter going through pounding, but got nothing from grinding (he didn't grind.) Also since bars give no information he got the 8 second RT. To have things completely count for the analyze counter the starting pounding process has to pound an ingot/wire/plate.

What he meant to say is this.

To allow the creation counter to work items need to be created from Ingots, Wires and Plates. If they are not made from that, then they don't carry analyze information and it does not add to the counter for analyze properly.

So if you want to run up the counter melt the bars.

You also get the "You are unable to learn anything about the scimitar." messaging when the information tags have been removed from that blade.
