Help for a returning Barbarian 01/18/2019 09:25 PM CST
I have not played in a long time. I went to my vault and it was 3945 days overdue:)

Things have changed so much and I am looking for advice.

Is there a good guide or source for current information? Things have changed so much it is hard to tell what is relevant.

You recall that you have 13 training sessions remaining with the Guild.
You have received training in 0 abilities from the Path of the Horde.
You have received training in 1 abilities from the Path of the Flame.
You have received training in 0 abilities from the Path of the Predator.

Does anyone have recommendations for Forms/Berserks/Meditations/Roars and Masteries? I have been searching the web and boards and I am a little overwhelmed.

Welcome back!

There is a link to the Dragonrealms Wiki on the home page. You should be able to find most of your answers there, along with maps. If you find it a little hard to navigate the Wiki, www.Olwydd.org also has updated information.

Outdoorsmanship is pretty easy to train, but a bit tedious. Most of that used to be under foraging. If you got Tactics from the skill change, an easy way to train that is to Analyze the critter you're facing. You'll want to train athletics too: There are a few hunting areas you won't get to without that. I'll let your more experienced guildmates handle the details.

Again, welcome back!

A good place to start is here: https://elanthipedia.play.net/Category:Barbarian_abilities. The most common advice given recently is to choose abilities that will let you get powermonger mastery as soon as possible. If your goal is to be the king of pvp change guilds. Most of us are training all weapons and armors to maximize tdp gain because the game is very much stat based now. I personally have only found the need for 2 roars. Get an ability to train warding right away. I use berserks to train all the magic (yeah it is magic even though we pretend differently) skills. I keep them locked at all times in and out of combat. Forms are the bread and butter of our abilities. I have use monkey, python, piranha, eagle and dragon my whole career. The berserks I use are wildfire, tornado, earthquake, flashflood and landslide. My main roar is wail of torment. Mediations I use are power, contemplation and tenacity. I use other abilities that boost training out of combat but that is highly personal depending on what you want to do. If you are going to train for Pvp get advice from a Barbarian who did. I am strictly mob based in my training. Welcome back. Have fun. You can't really go too wrong no matter what you do.

>>Get an ability to train warding right away.

I'm going to disagree with this. You can use Meditate Research Turtle to train warding while you get more useful abilities.
