Fun-Day Fridays - 61 - Heitak Form and Axis Meditation 10/10/2025 12:47 AM CDT
Hello Barbarians,

This Friday brings us two abilities designed to shift high-level Barbarians' damage output more heavily toward guild-specific attacks. Both abilities will be on preview for one week -- you can simply use them without learning them from a guildleader.

Heitak Form

>"Practicing Heitak Form will enhance your skill with special attacks, especially War Stomp."

Requires 10 abilities in the Path of the Horde, and circle 100. Costs 3 slots. This form grants:
* Expertise skill buff.
* Ability to stomp a second, different target within 15 seconds. Only available after the form has reached full potential.
* Damage bonus to War Stomp, scaling strongly with Strength and Potency.

Axis Meditation

>"Against a lone foe, Axis Meditation will drive the Barbarian's whirlwind attack into an unrelenting storm, lashing out again and again until its momentum is broken."

Requires 10 abilities in the Path of the Predator. Costs 2 slots. When attacking a single target, this meditation grants:
* Same Whirlwind empowerment as Earthquake Berserk -- increased damage, improved balance, and reduced roundtime. If you have both active, the Axis empowerment will take priority, and the Earthquake empowerment will not be consumed.
* Chained Whirlwinds that will continue until you miss, become incapacitated, or don't have a single target. Whirlwind will then go on cooldown for 10 seconds multiplied by the number of empowered Whirlwinds you executed.
* Accuracy bonus to Whirlwind, scaling strongly with Agility. Accuracy will decay with each chained Whirlwind, Potency determining the decay rate.

Other Barbarian Updates

* Whirlwind's offhand attack now benefits from the damage bonus of Earthquake Berserk (and Axis Meditation).
* CHOOSE FORGET ALL is no longer available.
* Forgetting Barbarian abilities now works like forgetting spells. You can forget as many abilities as you like without waiting 30 days, with higher coin costs depending on the remaining timer.

Thanks to GM Zadraes for some expansive QCs!
