Multi-Type Spell Experience 12/06/2013 07:00 PM CST
Experience gain for spells that split their experience between two skills (like a warding/augmentation spell, for instance) seem to award much less than half of the experience of a single-type spell in each of the two skills. I'm finding that I gain about 4 mind states for casting a max-mana Basic Warding spell (Iron Constitution), but only 1 mind state in each of Warding and Augmentation in a max-mana Advanced Warding/Augmentation spell (Tranquility).

Are multi-type spells supposed to teach so poorly, comparatively? I would think that maxing out the more difficult spell would award more experience, so if anything it should be bumping me 2+ mind states in Warding (same skill as the easier single-type spell). This was with 633 ranks of Warding and 750 Augmentation (819 Life Magic in case that matters).

Thanks,
