Not sure if this is the right place for this. Also not sure if it's a bug or not but I don't seem to be learning plate armor.

Currently in black gobs, same result in head-splitters:

Shield Usage: 752 58% learning (3/34) +0.11
Parry Ability: 580 12% dabbling (1/34) +0.05
Primary Magic: 622 55% dabbling (1/34) +0.01
Arcana: 503 03% cogitating (24/34) +0.11
Targeted Magic: 483 25% considering (6/34) +0.10
Evasion: 614 72% nearly locked (33/34) +0.07
Skinning: 517 97% dabbling (1/34) +0.00
Attunement: 641 21% dabbling (1/34) +0.04
Brigandine: 630 76% dabbling (1/34) +0.02
Light Armor: 477 14% mind lock (34/34) +0.21

Plate Armor: 678 51.09% clear (0/34)

I will let a GM correct me if I am wrong but quite a few things dont teach properly yet; however, regarding creatures teaching defenses/armor, we could always learn them well beyond the other caps bc attacking in DR prime (both player and creature) was unbalanced with respect to defense due to scaling that the game core didnt anticipate when it was first made? So what had caps at 700 or 750 weapons I would imagine now have similar defensive caps in combat 3.0. Dart mentioned he wouldnt be surprised if folks were able to handle a step up in hunting due to the balance realignment. Give assassins a whirl and see how that goes but keep in mind several aspects of combat are broken or bugged atm.

I'm going to try them next. I'm not too worried about combat stuff because like you said, I don't really expect it to all be there and right yet (I was mostly there to play with TM.) I was just noticing that I was learning shield at 750ish and brigandine, although slowly, at 630ish so I figured plate armor being between the two probably should've been showing up to some extent or another.

I apologize. I skimmed right over your plate armor skill and assumed it was as high or higher than your shield when responding.

Meh, certainly not a big deal.

Randomly sort of related, Assassins don't seem to want to play in test. I mean, 2 eventually came in, but they just stand there, no attacking.

One finally did start attacking. Looks like the ranged users were idle but the one melee fighter that came in did attack.

So two in the room, one actually attacking. About 5-10 minutes worth.

Shield Usage: 752 74% thoughtful (4/34) +0.07
Arcana: 503 32% thoughtful (4/34) +0.24
Evasion: 614 93% studious (19/34) +0.16
Brigandine: 630 80% very focused (21/34) +0.01
Defending: 683 48% dabbling (1/34) +0.01
Light Armor: 477 54% dabbling (1/34) +0.25

Still no plate armor.

Off to find something else to attack with TM...lol

I believe I've fixed the plate teaching issue.
