I'd like to work on sorcery. I'm at about 200-300 combats. What creature has a reasonable drop rate for spell scrolls? Is there a better way to accumulate them aside from buying them?

A few creatures do tend to drop them more frequently, but buying them is far and away your best option. There are dozens if not hundreds of scrolls in the system. Getting the one you want solely from drops will take a while.
