Would be neat if rare/special gems were reflagged as materials and not gems to avoid ending up in tied gem pouches.

I'm hoping this wouldn't make it impossible to sell those special gems if you wanted, since mined mats can be sold at gem locations, but I personally value not having them accidentally go into tied pouches over being able to sell them anyway (since I personally never do anyway, but that's just me).

I like this suggestion too, but I can see it conflicting with the various gem specific scripts like gem settings and such unless those too were updated.

Maybe a confirmation step could be added to FILL if it detects a rare gem name? That might be an easier thing to implement without breaking as much stuff.

This is more for pouches already tied.

You can't tie a pouch with materials in it, IIRC.
